2011 Grant Awards

Barrio Logan College Institute – $20,000
The Countdown to College Project, which prepares BCLI students to successfully transition from high school to college.

Natural High – $20,000
Natural High 360 reaches youth with the natural high message and ways to live naturally high and reject drugs in every component of their life—in their schools, with their friends, in the community, and at home.

Shakti Rising – $18,000
The Partnership Youth Resiliency Project improves the health and well-being of at-risk youth in the San Diego community in collaboration with partner agencies.

Urban Youth Collaborative – $20,000
School Beautification Day provides needed grounds and facilities improvements for schools serving youth at-risk. Motivational School Assemblies are interactive, multi-media presentations emphasizing empowering and inspirational stories of young people who have overcome significant obstacles. Project 25 is $100 challenge to 50 student clubs that will work in concert with a supervising adult, putting the money to work in a way that makes a difference for their school, community, city, or world.

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito – $5,000
Keystone Clubs are character and leadership clubs for teens ages 14 – 18, which help teens develop an understanding and appreciation of ethical standards as they cultivate leadership skills.

Second Chance – $20,000
The Urban Garden Project supports the work of the JOLT (Juvenile Options for Lifelong Transitions) program.

Interfaith Community Services – $20,000
The Transitional Youth Academy provides comprehensive case management, behavioral health, vocational, educational, and life skills support to at-risk youth so that they can make a successful transition into adulthood.

30 for 30 Grants

In recognition of the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation’s 30th Anniversary, 30 San Diego area nonprofits were selected to each receive a $1,000 challenge grant from the Foundation. In return, they were challenged to raise an additional $29,000 from their donors and ours. Over $850,000 was raised in recognition of RSFF’s service to the region.
